It seems that green is the color of the day. This is evident between the burgeoning environmental movement, which has chosen green as its signature color, and the recent health trend encouraging the consumption of green foods, which are rich in nutrients. Leafy greens have long been known to be chock-full of vitamins and minerals that are great for your health. If you want to live a long and healthy life, going green is the best way to attack the problem. It’s a great way to make sure that your body is getting all of the nutrients it needs in order to keep you happy and healthy.

Sometimes, good things come in small packages. Microalgae such as spirulina, chlorella, and blue-green algae are some of the most potent forms of green foods. And then there are everyday green foods; the obvious leafy greens such as spinach and kale that contain high amounts of nutrients such as vitamin C, folate, vitamin A, vitamin E, iron, calcium, potassium, and omega-3 fatty acids. The presence of all of these nutrients in leafy greens certainly qualifies them as superfoods. Incorporating these foods into your diet will help to make sure that you’re consuming a nutritious diet filled with all of the vitamins and minerals that your body needs in order to function at peak condition. If you want to stay healthy, then the way to go is green.
